Hi all
Sorry if this has been covered before but i have done a search and can't find alot of info on here about my problem.
The carb is fitted to a 1300 x/flow locost race car when i accelerate hard out of a corner the car hesitates like it has dropped onto three cylinders
if i lift of and re apply the throttle the car will take of like a rocket. The car has been set up on the rolling road and goes really well on there.
I have changed fuel fumps altered float level but not sure what to and it still does the same. My fuel tank is standard so not foam filled and not
baffled.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Gary
Also forgot to add that i have changed carb to another second hand carb and put a rebuild kit in it and had it rolling roaded and it still does the
same thing!

try running at a higher Idle speed so that when you hit the accelerator the carb is already running closer to the main jets. Also if this is a recent problem you may want to check for air leaks in your intake system behind the carb. Failing all that, try a compression check
Hi Garry speak to steve evans.
He has now sorted his fueling problems almost. But you would need to know if you are chassing the same problem or somthing different.
So a quick chat about symptoms would be a good idea.
Cheers matt
Im chasing the same problem myself. My carb was knackered (Very early 32/36)and a new one improved things a lot It still does exactly what yours does when hot but when cold is perfect. Im changing my rad this week to eliminate overheating as the cause and will be interested to see how you get on.
