Ive got some popcorn in already. Can someone bring some minstrels and coke?????

When i explored similar Q for my car (albeit not a race engine and Pinto) i was recommended good brand 20W/50 and change fairly regularly (ive used Valvoline). For more spirrited harder driving i was told you cant go far wrong with Valvoline R.

Maybe the 750 experts can say what people tend to use at the circuits. Might be worth a walk around some pits and ask the mechanics what they use.

I'm another vote for good-quality 20W/50. It's what the car was designed to use, after all...

So a resounding vote for valvoline 20w/50 it is.

Thanks all.

I run Silkolene 5w50 in my pinto. Better lubing at start up with a 5 and 50 will not degrade at higher running temps.
