Air \ power shifter?

The conversion from 5JJ to 5VY is a lot more tricky than we originally thought! One of the most difficult bits looks lke the gear linkage as the gear selector mechanism is far closer to the centre of the car than previously (mid engine setup) . This means that the old linkage (direct rod to gear lever) won't work. The solution looks complicated so I'm thinking of using a power / air shifter to simplify things and gain the advantage of this kind of system.

Anybody using one? Any recommendations?

Thanks guys.

That's the kind of stuff I'm looking at. I'm going to 'visit' my car tomorrow so I'll have nother look t it again. A simpler option may be to extend the shaft towards the side of the car, maybe with a bearing / rose joint, and use the existing linkage.
