noticed the engine mount bolt was a bit loose (pinto) so went to tighten it and noticed it was a bit of a mess. the bottom of the bolt with the nut on
seems to have been pierced through the rubber and doesnt have anything to grip to.
is this normal? bottom "mounting hole" is circled in red
thanks all

HI i have seen them before they are the same as what is fitted to the rear bumper - engine doors on a OLD Atlantian double Decker bus
jag e type mounts (as used by caterham etc)??
Looks like a Rover 820 steady rubber ---
Standard Sierra mount with the top mounting bolt ripped out.
Would suggest you bolt new Sierra mount to the arm that's mounted to the engine and look at fabricating some new chassis to mounting brackets.
Do some photos and post here.... RHOCar
