I have a sierra dif at the moment ( came with the car) but it is without lsd (propably from a rear wheel sierra I dont know if it is the 1.6 or 2.0)
I am after a "short" diff with lsd.
Can anyone know where I can find a cheap one?
What do you people thing about the right ration for close circuit racing where accelaration is everything (The circuits in Greece are pathetic, very narrow and full of close hairpins, more like go kart circuits rather a normal circuita)
Have in mind that I am using 13' wheels with slick

The diff ratio you choose will depend on what engine you have and what gear box ratios. There are only 2 available from the sierra, 3.62 and 3.92 but you can swap the crown wheels and pinions with other ratios.

I forgot to mentioned that I am using a honda fireblade engine with standard fireblade gearbox

If it is for a fireblade then I'd avoid the 3.92 diff. I have a 3.62 LSD with my R1 bec and it is fine for the road. Perhaps a 3.38 or 3.14 ratio would be better for you but they don't have limited slip devices fitted. You have to make your own.

A 3.92 will give you the most accleration but a lower top end speed, that is probably the ratio diff you have now, the most common LSD is 3.62

the 3.9 is shorter than the 3.6?

I need something shorter than I have for greater accellaration that is why I am changing the wheels from 17' at the moment (came with the car..) to 13' and I though a new (recon) diff with lsd will be a good idea.

the 3.92 gives more acceleration in each gear than the 3.62 at the expense of a lower top speed in each gear.

My R1 will do 50 in 1st and 70 in 2nd with a 3.62 diff. That would be 46 and 64 with a 3.92 ratio.

how difficult is to find a 3.92 with lsd in a reasonable price?
