Anyone any experience of the raceline coolant rail for the zetec? wrt fit, quality, performance etc. before I sink best part of £200 into one?
Cheers.
Pete.
My friend has one on a 1.8 Zetec in a Westfield. He fitted it himself and is quietly complimentary about it.
It certainly tidies up the pipe layout in the engine bay and he reckons it was nice and easy to fit.
Have you checked clearances between the back of the head and the bulkhead to make sure you do need one. The zetec tstat housing fits on mine OK. True I can't get the bolts out without lifting the engine but saves the cash and works better than a rail. If you must have a rail try Dave Colledge at retro ford and save £50.
Definately need a rail or at least more clearence at the back, its going in an MGB, might still have to relieve the bulkhead.
Will definately get in touch with Dave.
Cheers.

got one on my zetec in a spitfire. Nice bit of kit, came on the engine. Suspect others will be just as good. A huge amount of cash for a simple item!
Quality bit of kit! If you need one that is!

It is possible to make your own and move the thermostat to the front of the engine...
