Radiator mods

Have a friend who wants to plumb in his rad on the offside but both flow and return spigots are on the nearside (and it can't be put in upside down apparently). The rad is one of those metal core with plastic top and bottom jobbies.

IIRC correctly, several guys on here have used a company that can remake a rad and build on new plastic end caps?

Anybody got the link? Have tried to search but clearly I'm inept

why can't he just put it in the other way?

I would have thought radiators could go either way - its just water flowing through.

Neil, for reasons I can't explain, i.e. I don't know why I did it - oh yes it was the expansion pipe, my outlets face forwards and I used 360 silcone bends. OK if you have the space/runs in front of the rad rather than behind it.
Hope that helps?
Cheers, Pewe

Most rads with in and out on the side have a partition half way down so water must cross over to return, if you get my "drift".

I cannot see why it would matter.

If he however placed it on its end, revolved 90 degrees, not 180 degress thats a different matter.
