Fuel Pump

What is the best fuel pump set up for a Zetec 2.0 Ltr running with Bogg Bros R1 bike carbs.

Bike pump or Car pump with regulator?

What pressure if using regulator.

Expected some sort of reply by now ...

I'm running an R1 pump at the moment. Under hard acceleration i get fuel starvation and the car grinds to a halt.

Dont know if current pump is weak or on its way out.

If i replace it, do I go for another R1, alternative bike pump (better?) or a Facit with regulator for correct pressure?

Comments / guidence please .....

bike carbs can be a bit particular about fuel pressure so i would stick with the bike type pumps and as your running R1 carbs i would stick with that.
make sure that the pump is lower or as low as the bottom of the tank outlet as the pumps push ok but don't suck that well IMHO
Most superbike pumps (for carbs) should be ok blade/zx9/R1 etc

If you already have a pump, you could use it with a fuel pressure reg....If you go for an adjustable one you can tune it......Filter king springs to mind.....

But, as I understand it bike carbs run a similar pressure to webers, so most of the carb pumps should do the trick...just make sure you have enough flow to match your expected BHP..
