which pipe does the fuel go in?

You mean to feed the carbs / throttle bodies?? What year is your R1?? I have an 04 - 06 manual i can email you if thats the one.

If they're carbs, and not mounted, blow down the pipes, at the same time turn the carbs upside down, if you can no longer blow down the pipe, thats where the fuel goes...
