To NOS or not to NOS?

Has anyone any experience of NOS on a locost or any other seven style kit car?

Can you use NOS on a road legal car and if so does it impact heavily on you insurance?

yes yes and probably (almost certainly)!

hicost apparently has it on his, and maybe others too. Jon Ison was selling one so maybe he used it, i dunno.

cant see the insurance companies liking it though!

Hicost had it on his Cossie for awhile but beating Schumey off the line got a bit boring so he sold it.

Jon Ison (who bought it off Hicost!) for his Isonblade has now sold the car and has now sold (I believe) the NOS to someone else who'll remain nameless for the moment!

It's legal to have it installed on a car but I believe illegal to use it on the road. (Bit like radar detectors were). May be entirely wrong about this tho!

Goodness knows about insurance company- presumably you're meant to tell them it's installed but that you don't use it!

NO2 definately road legal. Run it on my mini, and MR2. Brother-in-law a traffic plod (yeah, I know...) and he assures me it's ok. Saving up for a system for the Rangie.

Insurance company know about the mini and just laughed....
