changing 45s from XE to pinto?
2b_pablo - 18/12/07 at 04:28 PM

hi all, Im buying some 45 dellortos from a vaux XE install and wondered what I need to do to make them run on my pinto?

obviously the manifold is different but any ideas what jets etc I need to get and how I can get it running enough to get it down to a tuner to set up for me?

cheers.

this is a document i have found interesting. i found it on the net some time ago when i was trying to understand how they worked.

this is not my work, the guys name is Dave Andrews. it might give you a good idea of what you need.

They should run well enough to get to a tuner if they were set up properly for the XE.

^^^ As above.Just nurse it to your nearest Rolling Road and get it re jetted there once and for all.

DCOEs are quite tolerant of incorrect jetting IME; even with jetting that is quite a long way out you can generally get an engine to run, if somewhat roughly.
