MFA = Mutli-function Adaptor, I think it translates to german as well.

Is it a new Car toy????

bigrich - 27/12/07 at 08:52 PM

heard of MAF- mass air flow
and AFM-air flow meter
not sure about MFA

Andy, the MFA I know of was on my old VW "Multi Function Announcements" basically a trip computer.

Going german then

ATB Dan.

Cheers chaps.

onzarob: Yes it will be a new toy, still can't decide what to get but the shopping list is BMW E30, Golf GTi, Mazda MX-5, Pug 205 1.9GTi, and Porsche 924(sorry but i like them!) Any further suggestions gratefully received.

Scutter: Achtung Yavol mein hier Yeah possibly! Depends on what turns up.

I found a mint black Golf 1.6 CL auto full history and 55,000 miles for under a grand and was thinking of doing a sleeper job on it meaning lowering the suspension, some nice wheels and de badging it.

It drove me nuts on my daughter's Golf - whatever I wanted to know was always the last choice when you stepped through the list...

(if you haven't worked it out yet - I was not at all impressed by the Golf! )

Donut; Go for the MX-5, then when you get fed up with it, you can use it as a donor for another seven.

An externally modified car with a standard slow engine (auto as well!) is the exact opposite of a sleeper...

MX 5 For me

Ronnie

I agree with Bonzoronnie, the best driving experience will be the an MX5, but MK2 Golf GTi 16 Valver would be fun.( I seen both of these around a grand. A Mk1 Golf Gti would be nice, but finding one under 2K without serious rust is tricky....Not a BMW fan

Pug for me

donut - 28/12/07 at 11:35 AM

I have been looking at a few BMW's in car parks on my travels and they don't do much for me.

MX-5 Did have one and it was a great car, only sold it cos i wanted to build again. There is the thing of it being a bit of a hairdressers car but i guess it depends on what colour you go for. Black would be ok and so would red, BRG and blue.

blueshift - 28/12/07 at 04:25 PM

I had a blue mx-5 for 3 years, got rid to get something I could fit my kayak in.. really miss it

britishtrident - 28/12/07 at 11:45 PM

Don't even think about a 924 -- 944 is different matter.

MX5 is the best bet.
