which bike engine g box to fit
jamie1107 - 28/12/07 at 04:02 PM

im in the process of building my second locost as per the first book as i prefer the live axel set up but this time i would like to go for a bike engine set up im an ex biker and have been fiddling with superbikes for years but ive never used one in a car
what i would like to know is more g box clutch orientated as i have a short list of zx 11 12 or 13 blackbird r1 or hayabusa engines im put off the hayabusa because of the sheer cost altho i know there are alot of bit s available but i do have acess to a full machine shop so its not the end of the world as the intention is half to three quarter bar of turbo boost on efi megasquirt
does anyone have experiance of how well the gboxes on the above bikes stand up and how suitable the ratio s are and if any which one is far better than the rest
also does anyone have any experiance of turboing any of them i know the busa is common with a gt34 but what units have other people used in the budget spirit
any help and advice greatly apritiated

Our ZX12 hasn't missed a beat on the spirited drives and numberous trackdays we've done. Awesome engine though no experience of turboing it... have you had a go in a big engined BEC, before you turbo it you'de best have a go - you will no doubt find normal aspiration is enough as they generally hit 60 in 4secs and top out at 130mph. More than enough for any road...
