Hi folks.
I was just wondering, does anyone know if the toyota engines tend to use a common gearbox bolt pattern? I seem to recall that Ford gearboxes often
use a common bolting pattern, making it easy to use different engines with one type of gearbox.
I am thinking in particular the gearbox that is fitted to the MK1 MR2 engine (1600 4a-ge), and I am wondering if any other engines are a direct bolt
on...
Cheers
Andy
I'd suggest talking to Raw engineering, or ask on one of the Toyota forums, I believe the 2.0l 20 valve unit fits as will the Corolla engine, but don't take my word for it!
The 4A angine family fit's that box, but the box is also fitted in other models with other engines the thing that;s different on the boxes is the
bellhousing.
