Zetec weight

Anyone know how much a 1.8 Blacktop Zetec weighs?

SWMBO's not too keen on me borrowing the bathroom scales...

According to Westfield World.
Engine (cc): - 1796cc
Basic Power: - 105-130 bhp
Weight: - 115kgs
Height: - 60
Length: - 50cms

from memory - 111kg bare. To put it another way, its 1.95 ZX10R engines but you still need a 39kg gearbox and a few other bits.

Bet the 10R motor and R1 motors are about the same weight, wouldn't want to get my knee down or wheelie the R1 with a Zetec engine in it:

Seriously though that makes it 40KGs lighter and 20bhp (in std form) more powerful than the MGB motor its replacing. Need to get the spring rates sorted now.

Gotta be kidding me, I can lift the engine without the alloy head wich is not that heavy and I'm not that strong.

I don't know how much the 1.6 ZetecSE weights bare, but that one I lifted a few weeks out of the back of my car. So zetec without head wieghts as much as the full zetecSE. And I'm just a IT wimp

Isnt the 1.6 zetec se a totally different (alloy) engine??? Its much smaller than the 1.8 or 2.0 with their iron blocks

it is, but my point is that the complete zetecse weighed the same as the zetec without the head on.

Doesnt surprise me!! Its not as heavy as a boat anchor pinto but still a big lump of weight!!!
