AS above, really, i *might* be getting a BMW M52 2.5 litre S6, tipping the scales at 120kg. 170BHP, 24 Valve, 4 valves Per Cyl. VANOS (variable valve
timing) on both cams. question is, will it go into a seven type engine bay??
My two worries are getting the sump and oil pickup shallow enough,
and the length of the engine.
Does anyone have any experience of this type of install.
I could use the locost plans and build a modified chassis...
anyway, expereinces of big engines in little cars would be apreciated.
Regards,
Ed.
Hi Ed,
Check out Luegos straight six jag installation. Just click on locostbuilders and go back to the front page.

If you're looking at an Indy I'd guess you have no chance.
If you want to buy a chassis look closely at the Luego Viento, otherwise you've got some research to do...
Search for posts by mustangsix, he's got some useful stuff and a possible chassis design on his website.
Rich.
I know Luego have built a Viento with some kind of BMW st6 'M' engine. Don't know which car it was from tho. Go to their website
(click the logo above) go to Viento then 'new projects' for a pic.
