Tuning using a vacuuuuuuum gauge

When i made my inlet manifold i made vacuum pipes on all the cylinder tubes so i can balance the carbs i use a vacuum gauge like the one on the link

To tune multiple carbs especially bike carbs, you really need 4 gauges, I use a set regularly to keep the R1 on song, and have incoperated takeoffs on the Zetec Bogg ZRX750 manifold for same. Take offs will also be used for map jolt and an in car gauge like that one, but you can't easily balance carbs with one gauge.

Vacuum gauges can show a lot of faults not listed there. Can be a very useful bit of kit IF you have the correct info.

main problem is they only work properly with a combined manifold for all inlet ports. I have one on my Land Rover that is pretty helpful in setting it up. I didn't think it would be of any use for setting up twin webbers!
