Sierra Diff

On a Velocity XT the lower mounting bolt cannot be fitted or removed without removing one of the lower wishbones. To prevent having to do this I thought maybe tapping and helicoiling the diff flanges then using two bolts would be o.k. Anyone else done this?

thanks

Standard procedure for an MNR. Go for it!

How often do you expect to be removing the diff? Considered doing it on mine but thought better of it.

Hi..point taken on removing the diff but In the job I have we are always focused on making things easily maintainable where possible. This is one such case!

Tap a piece of tube and use two bolts one from each side this would allow easy out and mean no alterations to the replacements diffs in the future!

I was talking to Ben at luego a few weeks ago about this same problem and he assured me that this was (1) of the many faults that i have found with his product that they are addressing along with the developement of there new chassis.

its not too much of a problem.

if you want to remove the diff, simply take the two inbound lower wishbone bolts out, and then swing the lower wishbone upwards a bit - just enough to take the DIFF bolt out.

dont it on mine a few times...
