Chaps,

I've got to remove nut, so I can replace crank pulley with one with teeth on.

I've so far managed to bend the one bar I've tried. Tomorrow, I'm going to buy another socket and get some big bar and weld it all together, but before I get carried away, can someone confirm it hasn't got a LH thread on. There's no mention of it in the Haynes SD1 manual (other then saying to undo bolt).

Suggestions on removal welcomed

Socket on nut, jam the bar, hit the starter button, they are bloody hard to shift! This works every time.

So normal RH thread.

Is this the emrald timing wheel going on?

yes normal RH thread.

I undid mine with a 1/2 inch breaker bar but they are know to be bu&&ers to undo.
Pull on the bar to tension it then give it welly with a rubber mallet.

A scafold pole under the chassis (LR and RR) then trun the starter does it usually.

summat wrong ere, mine came off easy, gonna check it's tightness tonight when I get back!!!!!

Just tried a impact wrench - weedy little thing.

Tomorrow I'll go plan b and buy a socket and weld some big pipe to it, and try the starter.

Mark - you'd be correct re wheel for Emerald
