4 branch vs cast manifold.

Chaps,
How much difference do a set of tube manifolds make to performance? Reason for asking is that the std mondeo cast manifold will fit my installation quite neatly, but a tubular would be a right royal pain to build?
1.8 blacktop, 2.0L cams, ZZR1100 carbs/bogg.
Cheers.
Pete.

Have you seen these on ebay ?
Probably not the ultimate, but I reckon a reasonable compromise between bog standard cast iron and a few hundred quid worth of custom made pipes. They must surely fit a B with the downpipe rotated to suit. And if you don't like the chrome, scotchbrite them down to a matt finish.
And - they're £36 FFS.

Yes saw them and was really interested, but they would foul the raceline water rail....
Cheers.

I bought a mondeo duratec 4>1 manifold (off fleabay) it is pretty short, and the pipes would fit with just a new flange welded on.

This is after I spent a huge amount of time with bits of bends/joiners and a mig in the garage! When this one goes pearshaped the mondeo one will go on (it is almost identical to the one I made)
