Thanks to malc at Yorkshire-engines, the ZX14 kit was spot on.
Despite me hacking the loom apart and not using the clocks, the engine fired 1st time - WooHoo

You fly bugger.
Is there any money left in the budget for a set of wets ?

I think it's snow tyres that are needed - especially for Teesside on Friday!

DynoJet Color LCD Display for Power Commander III usb.
Just got it displaying engine revs and some power commander functions. It also holds alternative fuel maps so that the power commander can be updated
quickly.
You can get an optional hub which can add additional speedo and sensor information.
Also can do some datalogging to an SD card.
This was really the easiest way to get a rev counter without having the original bike clocks. ZX14 has one of these CANBus links for most of the
display features so normal rev counters don't work.

Have you done anything on the lubrication side,Ive not seen any dry sump kits on the market yetfor the zx14,I would be interested to no if one is
thought to be required on this new engine?

The ZX14 sump seems to be reasonably well baffled.
Main problem is the height of the sump (have to fit the engine slightly higher than I would have liked).
I did get an extra inch by relocating the sump drain from the bottom to the side.
It is not so easy to shorten the sump as the oil filter mounts on front of the sump. There is a billet sump available which moves the filter to where
the oil cooler mounts to the block.
I did think about making an adapter to mount a combined ZX12R oil cooler/filter in place of the ZX14 cooler or a filter/sandwich plate for a remote
filter and cooler.
I am told that Pace are in the process of doing a dry sump for the ZX14.

I know when I spoke to Malc at Yorkshire engines,he said both the new zx14 and the zx10 sumps were well baffled anyway, with good pick ups,so you have
also confirmed this to be the case with the zx14,I think this engine is at the top of my list for my next build.

Paul, it's been top of ours too for a while now. Just gotta get our old man to pull his finger out and get a garage built.
