Ages ago I bought a Filter King regulator on ebay - and I think I know why it had been put up for sale...

There's a grey plastic plug on the outlet side, presumably to block up a hole made when drilling out an internal passageway, and it's weeping petrol. Not a great deal, but enough to build up a drip over time, and to give a stink of petrol. Not something I'm comfortable about...

It's the same as the grey plug in this picture, but on the other side:




So - does anyone know their way round these beasties, and whether this plug can be taken out and replaced/re-fitted/re-sealed? I know that I could strip it down and fit a plug of my own, but I'd like to do it properly if I can.

Not sure on the size of this as i dont have one,Can it be drilled and tapped then a small grub screw with some PTFE Tape & welseal to stop it leaking?

I would agree with your theory - there will be a right angle hole inside the body made by drilling two holes not surprisingly at right angles and blocking one off.

In the past I used as brass plug and araldited a similar passage way without any problems.
