I am filling in SVA1, and one of the questions is, at what RPM is max power (or something like that)
According to the Haynes Manual (sierra 1.6 SOHC)

Engine types 'LCS & LCT' are at 5300rpm
&
Engine Types 'LSD & LSE' are at 4900rpm

How do I know which engine I’ve got? I have had a quick look for markings on the block, but can’t see anything obvious.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

B

I'd put 4500 to be safe It'll then get tested at a lower rate.

I seem to remember i put down 4750 on my SVA form. Tester just smirked and told me what revs to hold while he did his stuff. He then proceeded to put the gear away. I had to coax the figure out of him - 96Db iirc. Way low.

They arent daft and know what the normal engines need to be.
