hi there
fitting a rover v8 to my vindicator, can anyone recomend a suitable radiator? looking round the cobra forums people tend to get them specially made,
but i thought on here there might be some ingenious alternatives?

TIG two Polo rads together ?
why would you need to weld them? could you not just feed one to the other, run them in series, like?
I speaks good Inglish i does.
You could use 2 radiators, one behind the other. Feed the hot water into the back radiator then the water out of that into the front radiator.
The water in the front rad will never be more than warm so the air passing through it will only be warm. The warm air will then hit the hot rad,
cooling it from hot to warm.
Will a single polo rad not do?
How about an MGB GT V8 rad? they're about £110 from MGBHIVE, and quite compact if you want I'll measure mine and post a couple pics when I get home....
Im sure there are people on here with one polo rad cooling an rv8
it would be good to hear what others have done with their V8's. thanks for offers of dimensions the vindicator is huge at the front and should even take an sd1 rad if i can find a good one.
Not the same engine but exiting the air from the rad up out the bonnet as bought my temps down so much I have to block off some of the rad, (and ditch the fan that restricts air flow) may be a solution to cooling a larger engine ?
I'm using a volvo rad and and seems fine for a 3.5 V8
Cant remember which modle?

ps very cheep -£45 two years ago new.
use a 72 degree stat and make sure that the shroud round the fan is a good fit ,they run much better below 80c
Rover V8 with Polo rad
Not sure if it will cope wlth the extra heat from the turbos, but I'll let you know
