electrical pump on single carb

found serious wear on cam lobe for fuel pump (mechanical) will using an electrical pump cause any probs

facet solid state pump through regulator (what setting ,dont know)
to vauxhall varijet carb

will this cause probs because not running at engine revs ,will it overcome the carb ,flood it ??

its manta engine ohc

or do i need interupter pump etc

help and advise greatly needed

Should be fine, we ran a single carb on a Facet carb pump (blanked off the mech pump "hole" ) without a regulator with no problems at all.

Do you already have the fuel pump if not just get a lower pressure pump and ditch the regulator.

it is the facet fuel pump ,got it in and found running at one psi after short accel it drained float chanber ,on 2 psi great
think all is good now
