do you think a standard 2ltr pinto mechanical pump would be happy supplying a pair off dual webbers. Has anyone found it lacking?

funny enough I found my webers flooded with the mechanical pump and with a regulator the flow was crap.I bought a modern equivalent of the old SU electric pump,but your right they are little expensive.You could try a return line like some of the downdraughts had to relieve the pressure on the needle jet when the bowl is full

I use to run an SU, god that ticking drove me nuts

sounds like I need to suck it and see what happens first before deciding and to check the condition of the needles...

We ran the standard pinto mechanical pump with twin 40 Webbers and they were appeared happy enough... my wallet wasn't tho

a carb'd bike pump would do the trick. From £10 on ebay.
