Just took my car up Prescott Hillclimb for a non-timed event, but really noticed the car bogging/fluffing when stomping on the accelerator at high
RPM, 4000+
The car is fitted with an 1800 zetec/2000cams. Twin dellorto 40's which are set pretty well, just the high rpm stomping thats a problem.
So....anybody any suggestions for pump jets on a Zetec??
All advice appreciated, I know I should buy a few sets of jets and play, but they aint cheap!
Or I did think about the old skool approach, the soldering iron and a set of drills, but cannot find any info on how jet sizes relate to drill sizes.
That would be a great help.
TIA
Clive
Had a thought, the jets are 40's, so should be about right.
Wondering if it could be the pump calibration. seen a measuring thingy on fleabay,

looks like a but of rubber tube and a measuring cylinder may do the same??
Thats the link.
£30+£6pp to use once is a tad rich really.
Wonder if I can beg/borrow steal?
Will study the chance of a bodgeup.
