How can you visually tell the differnece between a 2.0 zetec flywheel and a 1.8 flywheel. I ahve been given a couple of flywheels and need to know
which is 2.0.
thanks in advance for your help.
2.0 is hefty with a raised metal rim and the 1.8 is much lighter with a flat clutch mounting face.
Do you want the 1.8 flywheel?
here you go:

excellent, thanks for the help, the westfield manual says to use the 2.0 flywheel, is there a reason for this if its the heavier one????
Benefit of the 2.0 flywheel is that you can use the standard cluthplate and pressure plate of the 2.0 mondeo as it has the correct splines and all. If
using the 1.8 escort flywheel you will have to get different clutch parts from different cars wich is sometimes difficult to get as most shops only
sell full kits.
Don't forget to add a spigot bearing. You can get it from ford if you're lucky otherwise a single sided dust sealed needle bearing : 21 x
15mm x 18mm bearing INA HK1518RS (is the one i used)
thanks again for all the help, much appreciated.
