Hi all what od people think about this engine and gear box out of a vauxhall omega any pros or cons

thats what i'm gonna use. we shall see...
mine was out a vectra though, so fwd. using a type 9 gearbox, so can't comment on the vaux box

I used an Omega gearbox with an 2.0 Ecotec out of a Cav SRI. Works fine on throttle bodies, but clearance for the standard air intake will be tight against the bonnet. Ditched the standard ECU and went with MS2 using OEM coil pack.

commonly known as ecowanks... slightly unjustified but they are 15-20brake short of the redtop and theres no real benefit over the redtops other than being slightly newer, more common, and emmisions being 'slightly' better.
Mounts and gearboxes are identical so nothing to stop you swapping to a Redtop at a later date though.
