Breather and Catch tank Position

Hi All,

Just looking at my breather as the one I had fitted is just a knackered filter.

If using a tube a filter, does it matter if the filter is above or bellow the cam cover (Where the breather comes from) or not?

If i decided to make a catch tank does the height of that matter, again above or bellow where the breather feeds from??

Also, can i make it from plastic rather than metal?
And does it matter where the breather hose enters the tank, or is it just as high as possible?

Thanks (Its on a blade 954, breather comes from just under the airbox)

Yeah read that already.... from what it says i have to mount the top of the catch tank above the height of the cam cover.
But i've seen loads of photos that show it well below.
And it doesnt answer the plastic/metal question.

Thanks tho

Plenty of people use Coke bottles as catch cans. I can't see them lasting too many years, but it's hardly a great expense to replace every few months
