hi all, how do you get the cable to do such a tight radius to use the outlet of the gearbox going to a standard dash?
thanks
stuart
use an angle drive or run it out through the transmission tunnel, under the driver's legs and back up the side panel into the dash.

It does work. I used this method on my 1st Indy. It's a tight curve but manageable. Just rout the cable to get the biggest curve.
I take it you're using the std clocks from the Sierra?

HI i made a small bulge in the side of the tunnel and i have had no problem with the speedo drive / cable in 4-5 years
I got it to fit in my Indy without too much trouble - its tight but not impossible.
I'm assuming it is a Type 9.

right angle adapters set you back about £ 60.
you could go the electronic route: burton power sell adapter to allow fitting of electrical sender e.g. mondeo and then you can fit an electronic
speedo; more expensive but you will be able to get the speedo to read correctly whereas the mechanical one may not depending on tyre size.
the gear box is a type 9, and i am using the std clocks from the Sierra.
£60 for the 90deg bit, is a bit much.
i think i might have a go just using the curving the cable.
thanks

I made a cut out in the tunnel and throught the floor allowing the cable to pass through this alleviated all the stress on the cable. I have previoust seen cables snap and start to burn due to friction caused by too tight a radius
