Agh. I'm I going crazy or is my bellhousing a mirror image of all other type 9's including the one already in my Locost...
Anyone got a normal one near Edinburgh??

european type 9 have the starter mounted at the opposite side compared to UK ones. So you have a european one. Good for LHD not for RHD

From a LHD car maybe?
They come both way round (and in the case of RS200 alloy ones with a housing for the starter on both sides so you can choose!) Most hydraulic clutch ones are like the one in the picture.
just beggs the question...why did they bother?
Yep - LHD kind of makes sense clutch cable wise. I'm going Saab hydraulic so that's not an issue.
mmm. I'm concerned that my DOHC starter won't fit properly now...
I know for a fact it fits on the other side, as the Locost is OTR with it in place - anyone installed one of these to a Zetec before?
JC
well at least it will be easy to get RHD one if you do have a problem, they arn't exactly rare.....
I've should have a spare one
Sounds good... Let me know how much you want for it...
JC
I'll just need to check that I've got 2 good ones first....
I wouldn't want much for it though (whats scrap worth these days
)
or I'd swap for a good sump for a 1800 blacktop zetec (steel focus type)
Got one you can have for the cost of P&P if you need a short nose item . Fed up with tripping over it.
looks like I've got a spare one
u2u sent
did you get that last u2u ??
