Has anyone personal experience of exhaust suppliers?
My proposed spec is - s/steel, xflow, 4to1, or preferably 4-2-1, plus downpipes plus silencer box. Have seen comments re Lolocost item, but there must
be others out there?
There is a firm close to me that has an 'all singing all dancing' exhaust making machine. I saw him custom making an exhaust for a Tiger
being rebuilt with a Duratech. Total cost was in the region of £500, steep I thought but you get exactly what you want. There must be more of these
machines around the country.

Try these people Dick http://www.custom-chrome.co.uk the web site dont tell you much but they do a pretty good catalogue with 7 sidepipes DIY
manifolds etc.

I've just ordered a couple of 2into1 "Y" pieces and tow 90 deg bends from Jetex.
They're on their way from Sweden or thereabouts!

alpha exhausts in leeds have one of those 'all singing, all dancing' devices, shame they made a mess of mine...
Thanks for the feedback, gents.
V interesting comments, JoelP. So what went wrong? Any useful tips on how to avoid it?
"Custom Chrome" are good value, as mine cost £115 delivered, that included the silencer and the pipe that goes from the manifold 2 the
silencer
for the first few hours the chrome was dazzeling
after two (yes 2) re chromes in two years
I am dissapointed with the finish, all brown and mankey
Custom Chrome are rip off merchants. Find a powerflow dealer (there are loads all over the country). Got a custom s/steel exhaust made for my XR2
with single box and twin tail pipes. Cost me just shy of £300 and took about 3 hours to do.
The place I went was in Coventry but there are loads around.

Dick,
If you decide to go to Custom Chrome the place is just round the corner from me. If you need someone to pick things up / drop them off etc give me a
shout as i'm in your neck of the woods every couple of weeks or so.

Used custom chrome a few times and found em OK.the last thing I had tho a chrome sidepipe for a hiked jeep i had, did take some polishing to keep it
looking good,I'd go stainless next time.

Bob
