Carb balancing

Whats the best amount of revs to balance bike carbs?

I have a set of vacuum gauges and want to set my ZX9 carbs up.

Idle or more? Much more??

If it helps I've just been reading about this not an hour ago. The ideal idle for my ZX9 when balancing is 1100 (+-) 100.

Just balance then at idle. That's all I've ever done. Always worked for me.

I`ve always balanced my bike carbs at around 1500 rpm and then turned it back down to 1000 when finished. There`s no reason why you can`t balance them at tickover though. I find a few more revs just helps smooth things out whilst you tinker!

If you set the rpm too high the vac gauge will go off the scale.
