engine location

Hi Guys.

I'm building the Chris Gibbs Locost.
I want to set up the engine location.
I need to know how far back it goes.
If any one has the length of the propshaft,
from diff flange to gearbox that would be great.
I am using a standard pinto 1800 from the donor Sierra.
Also any other engine mods apart from the sump I should be aware off ?
Don't say put a bike engine in it, that comes later

Put the engine as far back as you can reasonably manage giving enough clearance for the gearbox etc..

Once the engine is in, measure the distance between gearbox and diff.....

I know this doesn't answer any of your Q's Dogwood, but regarding your BEC comment...

I would put your engine of choice in now! It will save money in the long run!
