Weber air adjustment query

On a set of twin 45s how do you adjust the air intake to balance the carbs.

I have the flowmeter set up and can take the readings but my detailed instructions then say; ' adjust the balance mechanism between the carbs' and I am not clear what that is.

Idiot proof guide please

Car back in action. Using older bonnet (damaged in an earlier but less damaging fire!) and everything more of less cleaned up.

Got a pair of twin webers from a friend locally so after taking the head off to remove melted fibreglass and extinguisher powder, I'm back to primitive technology. The interesting thing is that with different jets than before the thing goes much better. It was almost worth having the fire (almost),

your carbs -did you say weber or dellorto? - will look similar to these (dellorto).

In the middle you see the balance adjsuter - above hte blue pipe - that joins the two carbs. It is spring loaded and has a screw.

You tweak the idle on one carb then tweak the ajduster screw; I do it by ear until the exhasut note is even.

you may find the idle changes so you need to adjust that again.

Idle screw in photo is just above the choke cable close to the throttle cable end piece.
