Does anyone know what these 2 things are on my 1.8 zetec?

Do I need to connect them to anything?

First one is oil pressure sensor. Second one is crank case ventilation-thingy. In my car it is connected to the intake manifold.

First is the oil pressure warning light switch. It switches to earth when the pressure is too low... You need to keep this really or put it on a T piece with a gauge oil pressure sensor.

The second is the Crankcase breather seperator box. It ensures that only fumes escape to the the inlet manifold for combustion.

Some advocate that it can be removed, some insist it should be kept. I ditched mine and blanked the hole with a small plate. I take the venting fumes from the Cam cover outlet and send them to a catch tank. The tank has a tiny amount of oil in after two summers.

As said, oil pressure gauge then the crackcase breather, it's actually an oil seperator to enable oil to drain back into the sump.

Sticky-out thing and flat thing

as said low oil presure switch.

And the other thing is both a sperator and a breather. The breather would only work when connected up to the ford bits that run it.

So bin it
