The idea was to make my own air box that will fit to the pipercross px600 backplate i already had for alot less than the £190 pipercross version
take 1 surplus exhaust


cut out a cross section and remove baffel
blank 1 end and fit cold air duct to the other



cut out an abs (carbon) backplate to match the pipercross

rivet the can to the backplate with ali angle

fit the new airbox and backplate to the origonal plate

just the fit the remote filter situated in the nosecone job done
cost £5 for airfilter
£4 for secondhand airduct and hose
£0 abs carbon left over from dashboard
£0 exhaust taken off car when system replaced
total £9
exhaust

planned to do almost exactly the same myself!

haven't got a spare exhaust laying about though

you could have used the other side that i cut off but because of clearance it had to be tapered

mine might need to be tapered too... would have been perfect. never mind. i quite fancy one of the art pro can's off ebay. a blue one or a purple one
