Still working on the coolant plumbing for my car and trying to decide exactly what hose to order. Now, the bottom rad pipe needs 32mm ID hose, yet the
water pump needs 35mm ID hose. I know you can get reducing hose, but do you think I'd get away with stretching a 32mm hose over a 35mm pipe?
Haven't yet decided on rubber or silicone hoses either, so this would have a bearing to I guess?
Cheers,
Bill
Silicone might go with a bit of persuasion. If it is wire re-inforced, forget it!
I tried stretching 32dia (Polo rad) to 36dia (Pinto pump) - no way it was going to fit.
Ended up using a Gates flexible 36-32dia reducing hose from Halfords then a 32dia ally pipe across the car and a 32dia 90deg bend from Car Builder
Solutions onto the rad.
As you have been looking into cooling pipes you wouldn't have found a source for a T piece that is 25 - 25 - 8 ID (8mm being the T? I am currently looking at the cooling and would agreed stretching a wire reinforced forget it. Rubber will stretch a couple of mm with some heat and a lot of persuation however if you are going onto a plastic intake then you may end up damaging it? Let me know how you get on.
Thanks for the replies so far.
Getting all the hoses I need is turning into a real nightmare so far. I've got three different systems to build up. The engine cooling, the
chargecooler water circuit, and the air pipes for the turbo. Looks like I'm going to have to go to three different suppliers to get the bits I
need. I'll also need hoses from three different makes - Samco, SFS and Rally Design own brand (RMD) to get all the sizes I need.

I've managed to get 32mm Samco silicone hoses onto 34mm fittings on my engine. They're fairly tight, I don't know if it'd go that
little bit more.
I've made a t-piece up using some bits of suitably sized ally tube 'welded' together with that technoweld/lumiweld stuff. Cheap and
easy to do, just need to roll a bead into them now...
Cheers fellas
Will look into these

Whent to the scrappers to source other parts but ended up coming home with a good hand full of hoses had some stainless 42mm pipe 75mm lengths for jointing .so with some cutting jointing and a few jub clip managed to make up top and bot hose for pinto with a view to getting some silicon ones made up later now that i have all the bends and angles sorted hope this helps try off cuts of steam pipe from your ind plumbers or metal stockholder
