Expensive go for an aluminium Fidanza flywheel and one of Fensports performance clutches.

Alternatively a RAW Engineering clutch which is a combination of a Toyota cover plate and a quality friction plate.

Which 20v do you have as the blacktop flywheel is already reasonable light.

Raw also do a re-manufactured clutch but the quality can vary. Mine has lasted several thousand miles and up to 195 lbs ft of torque but others have failed with much less.

I have a blacktop but it came without a flywheel. I have a spare phase 2 16v - is that suitable do you know?

So long as its a 4AGE 8 bolt flywheel it'll fit. The age of the donor engine will determine the required clutch cover plate and friction plate. They got bigger starting at 200mm then 212mm and some bigger, my memory fails me exactly. RAW or Fensport would be able to help with this.

The 20v flywheels would be better as they are lighter. Like you my blacktop came without a flywheel as it was an auto like many of them!

I got a clutch from Raw and a JC-Project flywheel from fleabay. Didn't really want the expensive of a lightened flywheel (~£200 delivered from Japan) but couldn't find a secondhand one anywhere. Fensport aren't selling used 20v (212mm) flywheels separately anymore - only as part of a 16v upgrade kit.

Unfortunately I can't tell you how mine performs as it's not fitted yet!
