does the ford pinto water pump is the same to all engines, pinto or crossflow, 1300, 1600 & 2000?
BTW: what's the main difference between Pinto & crossflow?
thanks

i am not expert but would say yours is pinto.
possible reason why is the drive flange is different is that one pump is fixed fan, the other for viscous.

The V belt pulleys are the same for Viscous or Non viscous water pump.
The difference between pinto water pumps is that one pump will have a solid nose/spigot onto which a rigid fan blade is mounted (non Viscous).
Whilst a water pump for a Viscous Fan (large multi blade fan mounted onto a hub with small cooling fins one side, connecting through a temperate
affected Clutch [the clutch slips when cold but grips when hot] to the other side with a big nut with internal left hand threads). This whole unit
connects onto the large diameter left hand thread nose of the Viscous water pump.
I hope this is clear for you to understand.
