Unequal length handbrake outers

Today's hypothetical question.

If you had a handbrake set up where one of the outer cable sleeves was much longer on one side than the other would that effect the handbrake efficiency?

Cheers

nooooooo i don't think so. the cable travel will still be the same.

the only thing i could think of is if the cable sleeve moves when pulling the handbrake, then it might be slightly less efficient, but if its securely clipped in, then should be fine

Not a problem. Lots of tin-tops have different length cables.

as said no problems should come from the length. if you need some try hein gerick the bike shop (it universal clutch cable is 2.5mm same as some hanbrake cables) the outside sleeve is easy it trim to size ( grind it to keep clean end). there about £3 each
