Chuffed
vinnievector - 29/9/08 at 03:25 PM

Feel chuffed to bits , all them hrs in a spider infested Garage payed off at last when i rolled out the car and started her up for the first time . brought tears to the eyes .
A few snags to clear as she seemed to heat up rather quick ,so maybe a few air locks and ign timing issue but seems to tick over well .
2.1 ltr pinto boggs manifold R1 carbs Facet pump and fuel regulator.
so some way to go yet but feel iam getting some where now . vin

And she sounded nice to .

It will run hot if the timing is out.

Well done, now to get it finished!

well done

but be glad you have the spiders to eat the flies as spiders don't eat dog poop then go for a swim in your tea!

Where's the obligatory youtube post? When I first ran my engine I didn't have a camcorder so recorded it on my laptop microphone. Rubbish quality but a priceless recording

Even if it all goes horribly wrong at least you should get £250 for the video which in theory will pay for the full rebuild!

CONGRATS ON THE ENGINE START UP

that is the exact same set up i ran when i first started my engine. you wait though you will run it for a few months and i can guarantee you will upgrade to ITB's!
