just had a thought, how would you choose the right size MC for a hydraulic clutch?

surely if you get the size wrong you could end up trying to over extend the slave cylinder? (if that makes sense)

will the clutch pedal just stop being able to move (similar to brakes, when the pads hit the disc) or can you end up putting too much pressure intot he slave and breaking it?

i've got a 0.7" MC and a slave from a mondeo

We're using a 0.7" cylinder for our clutch. Its a nice weight if a little on the light side for my liking but would be ok for road use I think. That is with a vectra concentric slave cylinder, how that compares with what you have I don't know.

We have used a pedal stop to prevent over throwing of the slave. Once you have fully disengaged the clutch there is no advantage gained from pressing any further so I believe that in most situations its advisable to not allow over throwing with a pedal stop, especially with the concentric type slave cylinders.

wasn't sure if the pedal would go solid once the cylinder got to the end.

need to work out a pedal stop now...
