basicly can i use a set of 45 webber/dellortos that were origanly intended for turbo use on a pinto engine (non turbo obviously)
basically mate you wouldnt choose twin webber 40 dcoe 's' on a turbo conversion, but they will be fine on normally asp pinto engine, will need to be jetted correctly on rolling road though
The 45 DHLA Dellortos made for the Lotus Esprit were specifically designed for blow through turbo use. They could be used for a normally aspirated application as long as you can find a rolling road that is familiar enough with them to re-jet them correctly.
Yeah i second that. Im pretty sure apart from the jetting (which you will obv. change anyway) the seals are different as pressures inside the carbs
are different
