LInky to one of the lists.

EDIT - sorry I just re-read your post, got the wrong end of the stick. Where did you get the diff from? Was it with the car?

got it in a donor pack from mk so don't know what car it was from. think i will ring them tomorrow. it was just when i saw diesel i was like hmmmm is that good or bad?! actually it say turbo diesel. Coming from a diesel car does that narrow it down to only a couple of possible ratios etc?

I had a similar problem a couple of weeks back - the numbers on the label didn't relate to anything on the sticky. The diff was off a very late model Sierra.

I contacted my local Ford dealer and they tried to help but I didn't have the full number so they couldn't help. If you've got the full part number it might be worth a try.

Put a mark on the input flange and one on the output. Then count how many revolutions it takes for the input to turn one complete revolution of the output.

Phil

The common ratios for Diesel Sierras are 3.38, 3.62 and 3.92
