Bellhousing bolt patterns?
ghetto_eddie - 14/10/08 at 10:22 AM

Hi all,
I am currently in the design stage for creating a hybrid "bolt-on" system for aftermarket fitment (thats you guys!). However i am really struggling to find some dimensions for bellhousing bolt patterns!
Is there anyone out there that can help me, i am looking for drawings/dimensions of any of the following:
-Any "ford pattern" bellhousing bolt pattern dimensions.
-Duratec (or mazda MZR) bellhousing bolt pattern dim's
-Any other common 4cyl engines used in kit cars, bellhousing bolt pattern dim's again

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and when the project starts getting a little further than it is at the moment i shall post up some info and pictures.

Regards
Edd

Get some different gearboxes/ bellhouses and measure them! Then you can also trail fit the prototypes.

Post edited as i have sourced the details for a type-9 transmission (quaife technical support!).

The reason i dont want to take my measurements directly off the block is to do with tolerances. A proper engineering drawing will let me know all the details i need to produce a high quality fit between bellhousing/engine. Measuring from the block is time-consuming, innacurate and gives me no details on tolerances!
