Ford Duratec V6 head gasket problems?
mr henderson - 19/10/08 at 05:20 PM

Looking through what potential Mondeo donors are available, I have noticed a few V6 models with suspected head gasket failures.

So, two questions,

a) are head gasket problems more common on these engines

b) is replacing the head gaskets on these any more difficult than the average ohc engine (yes, I do realise there are two to be done!) and yes, I have read through the Haynes manual

TIA

John

REpper,

Just a friendly warning... your mate might not appreciate you posting his full mail address for all the spam e-mail he will soon start to receive. Automated web-trawlers work their way through the 'net to find addresses they can use and send spam to.

I recommend you edit your post and change the address to something like:
enquiries@*delete*motshop.co.uk

Hope that helps,
James

I have heard of more than a few HG failures on these --- I don't how easy they are to put right.
