any tips on how to get the clutch release bearing of a type 9 gearbox. cheers.

Long time since I took one of, but from memory it's held on by two spring clips that lock into the release arm and are attached to the release bearing. You have to just lever it of, and occasionaly you break the damb thing, but not always, :-) HTH Ray

Give it a good yank, its held by a couple of little tab things.
