Hello all
I am sure this has been discussed before but i cannot find the link.
R1 engine in my MNR,once moving do you use the clutch or not??
My biker mate say's no,i think yes and a third person said only use the clutch on the down shift.
any official answers??
Def want to use it on the downshifts.
Once you have it sorted at the rolling road, go with the 3rd person i recon
No clutch going up, clutch coming down. As above prob best get it set up proper first.
Lift off and knock it up through gears, clutch going down.
When you get the upshifts correct you will not even notice the gearchange.
Regards Mark
on my bike its easy to do up shift with no clutch and im getting better at doing it on the down, just remember to let the throttle off at the moment u up shift and when you do it on the down just give the throttle a blip and remember to be firm with the shift coz if u are not it wont work, but just try it
I never knew that, well you learn something ever day...

Think this is the recent one

I've always found it really depends on how you are driving. Gently and clutch is smoother, the
harder you drive the smoother the clutchless upshifts.
Clutchless downshifts are very hard to get right at any time.
Fit a trickshifter and auto-blip. Apart from first, you can change up or down without the clutch.
